Boston Celtics Are Impressive

Boston Celtics still looks like the team to beat in the Eastern Conference.  Celtics is the best defensive team in the NBA. Celtics built for a seven game series, and it is difficult to think that anyone can beat them if they are not making many mistakes. On Sunday, it proves that the Los Angeles Lakers need to worry about where they are as a unit. Kobe Bryant gets his points; however, by playing great defense against the rest of the team, the Lakers are stoppable.  The Celtics proved that on Sunday when they defeated the Lakers by the score of 109-96.                            

The Big Three trumped the 41-point performance of Kobe Bryant. Paul Pierce came up big with his own 32 points, Ray Allen dropped 21 points and the Big Ticket, and Kevin Garnett had 18 points and 13 rebounds.  When Boston gets production out their three important players expect a victory nine times of ten. Rajon Rondo had 16 assists.

In the Game, everyone for the Lakers except for Kobe seems reluctant to shoot the ball. When Bryant shoots a high volume of shots it is translates to bad news for Los Angeles.  Lakers are showing their age and they have been inconsistent during stretches of the season.

If you are a fan then you have to like the hard hat like effort at how the Celtics play defense. They have great defensive personnel on the interior such as Kevin Garnett and Kendrick Perkins when he is back to full speed. Rajon Rondo is protecting the ball and he finds his teammates in great scoring position. He is leading the league in assists with 12.5 per game.

Eastern Conference is tougher this season, but Boston still leads the pack. Chicago, Orlando, and Miami are the other teams that will challenge the Celtics; however, all three teams lack good team defense.  Barring any injury, the Celtics will win out in the Eastern Conference. For many reasons, Boston is impressive.
