Why the Los Angeles Lakers will Three-peat?
56Los Angeles Lakers have taken a backseat to the talk and hype that have blasted across the planet about the Miami Heat, and how the Heat will easily win the championship. Publicly, Kobe has not given any power to say the talk has motivated him, but I am sure he cannot wait to face the Super team led by Lebron James.
I will provide five good reasons why the Lakers will three-peat this season. The five reasons are found below.
1. Last, I checked Kobe Bryant is still the best player in the NBA, and if not the best player, the best scorer or closer in the league. He possesses the killer instinct to get job done when the Lakers need him to be the Kobe everyone accustomed to be, he becomes unstoppable.
2. Lakers has the most versatile frontline in the league with Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol, and when healthy Andrew Bynum. It will be difficult for any team to contend with trying to guard these guys in a seven game series. Gasol continues to be great complement to Kobe’s game. Gasol can score with an arsenal of shots and veteran savvy.
3. The bench got better by adding Matt Barnes to the mix. He is a gritty player, and everyone knows he is not going to take any junk. He has formidable outside shot that should help Lamar Odom when he is coming off the bench. Veteran Theo Ratliff will provide good shot blocking and rebounds on the second unit.
4. Experience and understanding what it takes to win a title favors the Lakers. They are many teams that can get there, but have proved that inexperience causes them to fall just short. If Lakers face the Heat in the championship game, I expect Lakers to win out.
5. The Lakers ability to adopt and use their team’s
versatility makes this team lethal. They have the bodies to run and if they
need to can grind out. Lakers I feel is
best suited to play an uptempo game.
Heat fans may have to wait another year before they claim their first title and I know I could be wrong, but I do not think any Heat fans may have to wait another year before they claim their first title, becasue I do not think any team can derail the Lakers quest for three consecutive NBA titles. Their depth, versatility, and strong frontline are not easily dealt with as many would think. For those reasons, the Lakers will send their Coach Phil Jackson off in three-peat style.

I think the lakers are better this year, but they're also older. Staying healthy will be harder and Kobe is already nursing a bad knee.
